The Alert Icon is found here: 
When a user performs a task that logs a message the alert icon will show a number: 
Clicking the Icon will show the Alert Window:
The top portion of the window (above the gray line) is where users can work with tasks and message logs.
Cancel Tasks |
This option allows users to cancel tasks currently running |
Clear all |
This option allows users to clear the entire alert window of any messages |
Automatically clear messages |
This options allows users to set the alert window to clear old messages as new tasks are started automatically |
The bottom portion of the window (under the gray line) is where task statuses and message log texts will appear.
