Without navigation objects, web app navigation will default to show the folder tree, resembling the Folders panel in Desktop Client. There are several steps to configure the navigation panel from the folder list to more meaningful navigation for users to access objects in a process or workflow order.
Create Navigation Panels (required)
To create Navigation Panels using tables:
1.Save the SystemNavigationTemplate table with a new name using the "Save As" function. a.The ToolKitAndWebTemplate, Model Download 1.0007 is built using the "navigation" table as the default navigation. 2.Update the newly saved table with desired navigation items. a.See SystemNavigationTemplate for field options and definitions.

3.Ensure the SystemEvents.OnOpenModel function has the following code and the model has the SystemNavigation script (both are included in the ToolKitAndWebTemplate model, Model Download 1.0007):

To create Navigation Panels using queries:
1.Create a query to mimic the structure of the SystemNavigationTemplate table a.The ItemType and ViewName fields are driven by drop-down lists i.ItemType = SystemNavigationItemTypes table ii.ViewName = SystemViewNames table b.See the Dashboard Navigation page in the demo model for resulting dashboard

1.Update the SystemNavigationGroup table to designate which panel is used for each group. a.The ToolKitAndWebTemplate, Model Download 1.0007 assigned the default "navigation" table for both the Admistrators and Users groups. b.See SystemNavigationGroup for field options and definitions.

NOTE: The NavigationState field is the field that will affect the navigation toggle on the Model Header, as well as the navigation panel.
The navigation toggle allows users to switch views of the navigation panel.
NOTE: the toggle will not appear if Navigation State is set to "none" when the panel is assigned to groups or users. See Navigation Panel Configuration Instructions for details.
